Hi all,
I've been sick the last day or so, which is why I haven't got around to making any new posts. Soon I will update this with stories about our tours of religious Cairo- there are important temples, mosques, and churches here in the city which we were able to see two days ago. Also, that night we took a felucca (sailboat) ride on the Nile River at sunset, which was beautiful.
Tonight we leave on the sleeper train to Aswan and Luxor, where we will be spending the next week.
Since I don't have time to leave a full post, I wanted to share with you all a video of one of my favorite things so far here in Cairo- the Islamic call to prayer. This video was taken from the Nile River as I was on the sailboat, and you can hear a muzzein calling out the prayer. Enjoy!
